Description
My first ever Photoshop drawing done entirely with my brand spankin' new pen tablet. Oh, and the theme here is 'Go You Big Red Fire Engine' which is one of Adam's previous shows. While looking for reference images, I found this perfect picture of an antique fire helmet in profile that just happened to say 'Hills' on it. I built the whole drawing around that one element. I love this new technique. It came out looking stellar... My only complaint is that it took for-fucking-ever!

That is amazing. I mean, you're obviously clinically insane for doing that detail, but it's amazing. Love the splashes of colour, the flat background and the varying ...hardness of the lines, for lack of a proper phrase. I like how subtle the effect of the fur is. Understated, but insanely detailed. The cross-hatchy colouring looks great. Is there a particular reason why the colour is sort of... beneath the horsey in the lower splashes, but on top of it in the upper ones?
